Replacing the Throttle Body Micro Switch

Model: Audi A2 MK 1 - Years 1999-2005

If the engine idles very irregularly and the response to acceleration is not lively, it is likely that there is some malfunction in the throttle body, which regulates the airflow in accordance with the accelerator position: it could be an issue with the micro switch that controls the position of the butterflies. To replace this switch, it is necessary to dismantle the throttle body by disconnecting the hose that connects it to the air filter, the vacuum hoses, the accelerator cable, and the micro switch connector itself; then unscrew the fixing bolts to the intake manifold and once on the bench, proceed with the replacement of the micro switch, which is simply secured with small screws. Once installed, it may be necessary to adjust the idle.
