Replacing the fuel pump in an Audi A3 is a straightforward task. First, ensure the key is not in the ignition for safety.

Next, remove the rear seat and unscrew the three screws of the central cover. Clean any dirt around the pump and disconnect both the power connector and the fuel lines.

At this point, unscrew the large outer ring using a flathead screwdriver, extract the pump from the tank, and fit the replacement by following the reverse procedure.
