Here’s how to remove the fuel pump float on an Audi A3. Disconnect the battery cables, then remove the rear seats; you will find various wiring and a metal cover with screws that need to be removed. Use a socket wrench to unscrew the securing screws of the metal cap; remove it from its seat, wrap the entire perimeter of the metal sheet with paper or an absorbent cloth, then, using a socket wrench, unscrew the securing pins located on the sides. Finally, disconnect the power connectors and the fluid circulation tubes, and extract the fuel pump float. To reassemble, proceed in reverse order.
