Removing the outside rearview mirror on an Audi TT, as shown in this tutorial, is an extremely simple and quick task. First, grasp the glass from the inner edge and pull it towards you to dislodge it. Then, using a flathead screwdriver, release the indicated metal clip and remove the block. Finally, disconnect the regulator connector, grasp the mirror, and remove it from the base. If you need to remove the base as well, simply unscrew the two fastening bolts with a Torx T30 wrench.
