How to Remove the Steering Wheel Controls on an Audi A3?

To remove the steering wheel controls on the Audi A3, you must first remove the steering wheel itself from its housing. To do this, rotate it left and right to loosen the screws at the back. This will allow you to detach the airbag by disconnecting its connectors at the back, enabling you to loosen the central nut that secures the steering wheel. Once removed, you can lever under the side buttons of the steering wheel controls to lift them and disconnect their connectors; this will allow you to replace the components and reinstall the steering wheel.
