How do you remove the inner panel of the rear tailgate of the Audi A6?

Model: Audi A6 C5, MK 2 - Years 1997-2004
Part: Checks and maintenance

In order to remove the inner panel of the rear tailgate of the Audi A6, you need to lift the tailgate itself by loosening the two screws located at the base of the panel. Once these two screws have been loosened, it will be possible to proceed by disconnecting the spotlight located at the base of the tailgate, disconnecting its appropriate connector. Once these fasteners have been detached, it will be possible to lever the inner panel with an object in order to remove it, so that it can be replaced with a new one. After the replacement, it will be necessary to secure it with screws and reinsert the spotlight.

Want to replace the gear knob and gaiter on an Opel Astra? Follow these steps: Use a plastic lever to detach the leather gaiter frame. Grip the knob and rotate it left and right until it comes off the gear stick (cut the plastic tie if present). For installation: Take the new knob and slide it onto the stick in the centre console, securing it in place; fit the new leather gaiter (plastic frame) using clips and all the trim plastics. Test the correct operation of the part.
