- Years 2004-2008 The procedure for replacing the timing belt of the Audi A4 involves loosening the screws that secure the cover on the left side of the engine block. Additionally, the wheel and the inner lining of the corresponding wheel arch will also need to be removed. Once these two components are removed, it will be possible to locate the central nut of the tensioner pulley, which can be loosened by removing the same pulley. At this point, the belt can be completely removed and the new one can be inserted, ensuring that everything functions correctly.
