Replacement of Rear Window Regulator Motor

Model: Audi A2 MK 1 - Years 1999-2005
Part: Power window motor

The tools needed for this repair are: a drill with a metal bit, a riveter, and a set of screwdrivers. The first step is to remove the door panel by unscrewing the three screws, one of which is located under the tweeter cover and the others under the armrest. Carefully detach the panel from the door to access the mechanics. First, disconnect the electrical connector of the motor. Remove the metal cover plate over the motor. Using a 10mm ratchet spanner, remove the four nuts that secure the motor block and unclip the catch at the base of the rod. Before proceeding, it is advisable to secure the glass with a prop to prevent it from falling. Also, remove the upper part of the door to disassemble the faulty gears by acting on the four Torx screws. Slide the glass upwards to remove it. With great care, you need to unclip the plastic guide from the glass by drilling out the two rivets that secure it. Attach the new plate using three new rivets and reinsert the glass. Reassemble everything carefully.
