To reset the Service light on the BMW S1000 XR, connect a diagnostic tool to the vehicle's OBD port: this port is located underneath the seat of the motorcycle, so you will need to completely remove the seat to connect the scanner. The port will be at the rear of the housing: after connecting the tool, select the model of the motorcycle and the corresponding version. Follow all the instructions to completely reset the light, then disconnect the diagnostic tool.
