In this video we see how to check the oil on a BMW R1250 GSA motorcycle: with the motorcycle cold in the garage, we turn on the ignition, and the screen tells us that all parameters are fine. If we take a look at page 174 of the owner's manual (which we should read carefully before performing any maintenance on our vehicle), we will see how BMW suggests checking our oil. Start the motorcycle and let it warm up: check where the red line is on the gauge as it warms up. Also check the visual indicator at the bottom of the engine. Then, as BMW suggests, let it cool for at least five minutes and recheck the level of the visual indicator. If it remains the same as before, then everything is fine.
