How do you change the key fob battery of a BMW X3? Let's see in this detailed video how to do it. Take your key fob and press the button to release the metal key. Once extracted, use a screwdriver to pry between the key cover and the top plastic cap (the slot where the metal key fits). Pry until the cover opens. Remove the worn battery with a screwdriver, take a new one of the same size and voltage. Reassemble the cover on your key fob by pressing until you hear the locking click. Finally, insert the metal key back into the fob. Check the proper functioning of the key fob.
