How do you change the key fob battery of a BMW X1? Let's see in this video how to do it in detail. Take your key fob and press the button to remove the plastic piece. Once detached, use a screwdriver to pry between the key cover and the top plastic cap (the slot where the metal key fits). Pry until the cover opens. Remove the worn battery with a screwdriver, take a new one of the same size and voltage. Reassemble the cover on your key fob by pressing until you hear the locking click. Finally, insert the metal key back into the fob. Check that the key fob works correctly.
