Let's see how to replace the gas springs on the trunk of a BMW 3 Series. This is a very simple operation, follow these steps: lift the trunk of the cargo area and secure it. Using a screwdriver, detach the metal clips that hold the gas springs. Disconnect the springs at both ends, remove the worn strut, and install the new piece. Secure the strut with the metal clips. Proceed in the same way for the disassembly/assembly of the other strut. Finally, test the gas springs by opening and closing the trunk.
