In this video, see how to remove the front and rear trim and the seat belt retractor on a BMW 3 Series. Gather various trim tools, screwdrivers, and wrenches or sockets.

Use a plastic trim tool to remove the upper and lower side trim where the seat belt retractor is located, then open the plastic cap on the front seat. Use a socket wrench to remove the fastening bolt located in the front seat of the seat belt, and remove the seat belt retractor along with its mounting bracket.

Finally, install the new seat belt cover panel with the necessary parts for assembly.
