How do you reset the brake wear indicator light on the BMW X5?

To make the brake wear indicator light disappear completely from the instrument panel of the BMW X5, you will first need to replace the worn brake pads: these should be removed from inside the corresponding caliper in order to insert the new replacement parts. After the replacement, you can go inside the cabin and turn on the instrument panel: then you can press and hold the button on the left side of the panel until the menu appears. You can scroll through it by repeatedly pressing the same button: when the brake-related option appears, you must keep the same button pressed to make the indicator light disappear.
