Following these short and simple instructions, we will see how to open the hood of the BMW 1 Series. First, open the front door of the car, driver's side, and start pulling the hood release lever, located at the bottom near the pillar; then move to the front part of the hood to lift and open it, as shown in the video.

At this point, raise the hood to a certain height, held by the hydraulic struts (or by fixing the rod if present); finally, lower the hood to close it again, letting it drop from a certain height.
