Today we will explain how to replace the battery of the remote control on the 2021 BMW X3. To perform this simple operation, we need to press the button on the side of the remote control to extract the metal key inside; this metal key serves as an emergency key when the remote control battery is low or when the remote control needs to be reprogrammed.

Insert a flat-tipped screwdriver or the key itself into the central hole, apply slight pressure outwards to open the cover of the remote control and access the battery.

Remove the old battery and insert the new one, close the cover of the remote control and reinsert the emergency key inside.
