How to efficiently use the BMW Steptronic 8-speed automatic transmission

The 8-speed steptronic transmission is present in various BMW models, such as the 5 series (F10); X5 (F15); 1 series (F20); 2 series (F22); X3 (F25); 3 series (F30); 7 series (G11/G12) and many others. It is used by making clicks to put it in "N" for neutral, forward for "D" for drive, and backward for "R" for reverse. Moving it to the left enters a sequential mode, allowing us to simulate a manual transmission. To turn it on, we must press the button and simultaneously the brake. Now the car is in "P" for parking: to unlock and start, I must hold down the brake, press the button on the left of the transmission (unlock) to go to "D", and release the handbrake. If I move the transmission to the left, I go into "sport" mode, simulating a manual transmission with the sequential method. To go into reverse, it is necessary to always press the unlock button, while to switch from neutral to drive, simply release the brake pedal. To park, after maneuvering, pull the handbrake and press the "P" button located on top of the transmission.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?
