How do you replace the cabin air filter on a BMW 5 Series? Follow these steps for the replacement: Use a plastic trim tool to pry off the cover located at the bottom of the dashboard (right side under the glove compartment) and remove the retaining screws (if present). Remove the cap from the filter housing (push the plastic clip), then pull out the cabin air filter to be replaced. Insert a new cabin air filter, ensuring it fits snugly around the walls of the housing; reattach the cap of the filter housing (cover everything with the trim plastic). Check the proper installation of the previously mounted parts.
