You can replace the front brake pads on the BMW X4 by lifting the vehicle so that the front wheels are off the ground. Once the wheels are lifted, loosen the bolts that secure them to the hub for removal. The caliper will now be accessible and can be freed from the rotor by unscrewing the screws that hold it in place. Now you can also remove the pads to insert the new ones.
