How to Reset the Service Light on a BMW 3 Series

Model: BMW Serie 3 F30, F31 - Years 2012-2019

To reset the service light on a BMW 3 Series, turn on the ignition without starting the engine. Next, press and hold the trip odometer reset button for a few seconds until the maintenance menu appears. Use brief presses of the same button to scroll through the various service items until you select the one to reset, such as engine oil, brake pads, or vehicle check. When the word "Reset" appears, press and hold the button again for a few seconds, and when prompted for confirmation, hold it down once more to complete the operation. The new maintenance interval will be saved automatically. Finally, turn off and then turn on the ignition again to verify that the light has been successfully cleared.
