Removal and Cleaning of the ICV Sensor

The ICV (Idle Control Valve) is essentially a sensor that controls the throttle opening when there is low flow, typically below about 20% of the gas, providing more precise engine control. The ICV can become clogged with carbon deposits and therefore may fail to open and close the carburetor properly. In this case, the idle may fluctuate, and over time, the engine may stall. If the cause is attributed to the ICV, the sensor can be removed and cleaned with a toothbrush and a good amount of carburetor cleaner. To remove it, you need to disassemble the air duct up to the carburetor inlet and proceed with its simple removal.
