If you have arrived at this page, you probably have had issues with the opening command of your BMW. The first step to diagnose the problem is to replace the battery. There is a high probability that it has died, leaving you stranded at any moment.

But don't worry, replacing it is a breeze. This guide is also valid if you intend to replace the key cover.

Remove the actual key from the top. Then, using a pry tool, start separating the two halves of the remote from one side of the key. Continue along the entire edge. Now you can completely detach them.

To reassemble, simply press the two parts together.
