Removing Door Handle and Panel for LED Installation

Model: BMW Serie 5 E39 - Years 1995-2003

To remove the door panel, first take out the screw located inside the inner opening handle and release the snap clips along the edges: to finally remove the panel, disconnect the cable connected to the handle lever and the electrical connectors. Next, remove the side airbag (even without disconnecting the connector) and peel back the sound-absorbing cover to access the fastening pins of the outer handle that needs to be removed. At this point, drill a hole in the center of the handle with the appropriate diameter to secure the LED holder and the LED itself, which has been previously wired: then connect the LED power to the courtesy lights to allow it to turn on when the vehicle is opened. Proceed in reverse for reassembly.
