Replacing Interior Lights with LED Bulbs

Model: BMW Serie 5 E61, E60 - Years 2003-2010
Part: Interior dome light bulb

Start with the front dome light: use a plastic trim tool to detach the dome light, first the part with the buttons and then the part with the bulb holder; disconnect the bulb holder from the socket to replace the bulbs with LED ones: remember to observe the polarity of the LED bulb (if it doesn’t light up, reverse the polarity by rotating the bulb 180°).
Proceed in the same way to install the LED bulbs in the rear dome light. Move on to the footwell lighting: detach the bulb holder, remove the reflective shield, and replace the wedge bulb with an LED bulb, always keeping polarity in mind.
The process is the same for the courtesy lights in the doors: however, the bulb type is T5 and not wedge. Complete the task by replacing the license plate lights: detach the bulb holders and replace the wedge bulbs.
