How to Replace the Rear License Plate Lights on a BMW E60

The lights located just above the rear license plate on your BMW 5 Series E60 are very important as they increase the visibility of the plate and help you avoid potential fines. If one or more lights are not functioning correctly, you need to replace them. Here’s how to do it. First, make sure the car is off and the parking brake is engaged. Next, go to the rear hood, lift it slightly, and get a flathead screwdriver. Insert the screwdriver head into the narrow slot and push outward. Finally, remove the old bulb and replace it with a new one. Reposition the light correctly, and you're done.
