Installing LED License Plate Light

Model: BMW Serie 5 E61, E60 - Years 2003-2010

To install the LED license plate light, remove the light holder integrated into the trim located just above the license plate, under the manufacturer's emblem. Open the trunk and lift it enough to access the light holder for the license plate light. Use a plastic pry tool to leverage the retaining tab and pull it out of its slot. Remove the original bulb, which is a wedge type, and insert the new one. Check that it lights up correctly and reposition the light holder in its slot. Repeat the same process for the other license plate light.
