Removing the Door Panel on a BMW 1 Series

In this practical video tutorial, you will learn how to remove the driver's side door panel on a BMW 1 Series E87. First, open the door and use plastic levers to detach the grab handle from the sides: underneath, you will find the Torx screws that you will need to unscrew. Next, use the lever to remove the button panel from the sides and disconnect the electrical connector. Now, you can pry at the edges of the panel to extract it. Finally, disconnect the electrical connectors located at the back, using something sharp if necessary!
