The air pump is located near the washer fluid reservoir. To check the operation of the secondary air pump, it is possible to disconnect the delivery pipe and supply it directly for a short time. If the pump does not work properly, no air is emitted, which can be checked by checking the outflow, or it works by producing unusual noises such as creaking or whistling, in these cases it must be replaced. These malfunctions of the secondary air pump indicate that exhaust gas condensate has entered the pump due to a failure of the non-return valve.
