Engine Air Filter Replacement

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006
Part: Air filter

Open the hood and remove the plastic cover protecting the engine; then detach the air duct that includes the tube and the cover that shields the cowl. The air filter is located to the side of the engine and has a cylindrical shape: proceed to remove the air filter housing; you will also need to remove the cabin filter located centrally, just below the windshield, to access additional screws securing the engine air filter housing. Once the cover protecting the filter is removed, vacuum any debris to prevent it from entering the intake ducts during filter removal; then extract the old filter, complete the cleaning of the housing, and insert the new one.
