Replacing the Front Suspension Control Arm

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006
Part: Control arm

Lift the vehicle on a lift and locate the control arm of the suspension, which is triangular in shape and connected to the hub and the vehicle's frame: once the mounting bolts are removed, use a pry bar to extract it. Also remove the link that connects the suspension to the arm. Then insert the new arm starting with the central ball joint (the apex of the triangle), then the hub side, and finally the rear support (a clamp may be needed to insert it, or you can attach it to the arm before installation).
Tighten all the bolts and install a new link.
