How to Replace the Battery in a BMW 3 Series

Model: BMW Serie 3 E91, E90, E92 - Years 2005-2013

Before you begin, open the trunk of your BMW 3 Series. Start by removing the left inner side cover of the trunk. This will give you access to the battery. Next, unscrew and remove the bolts that secure the battery hold-down bracket. Then, loosen the nuts that secure the two terminals to the battery and disconnect them. Once you complete this step, you can remove the battery, finishing the disassembly. To install the new battery and close everything up, follow these instructions in reverse, and the replacement will be complete.
