Replacing Battery on BMW 3 Series F30 and F31

Open the trunk and remove the side panel inside the trunk. Now that the panel is removed, you can see the space from which you will access the battery.

Unscrew the two 10 mm bolts that secure the two terminals: always start by unscrewing and then disconnecting the negative terminal, and only then move to the positive terminal. Remove the side tube to your left, lift the two handles of the battery, and pull it out. Nothing could be easier! For installation, proceed in reverse order, placing the battery back in position and tightening the terminals, then reattach the panel.
