Replacing the lock cylinder on a door of a BMW X5 is very simple, and now we will show you how. Open the affected door and remove the cover screw located at the handle and on the side of the door. Unscrew the screw in this hole with a 4 mm Allen wrench. Insert the wrench, slightly rotate the cylinder, and pull to remove it from the housing. Separate the cylinder from the plastic, insert the new cylinder into the old plastic, and reassemble everything in reverse order of disassembly. As I said, very simple!
