Replacing the Gear Knob on a BMW

As you can see in the video, replacing a gear knob on a BMW usually does not require any special procedure, as it is simply fitted onto the lever thanks to an internal groove that perfectly engages with the top of the lever. To remove the knob, just pull it firmly, preferably with both hands. You can assist yourself by slightly rotating the knob to encourage it to detach from the lever. Removing the gaiter is a different matter, as it takes a bit more time since you need to remove the internal clip of the lever.
