Removing the Rear Outer Handle on a BMW 5 Series

Model: BMW Serie 5 E61, E60 - Years 2003-2010

Before accessing the outer handle, you must first remove the door panel (for this, refer to other tutorials; briefly, just unscrew the various bolts that secure it, then disconnect the various cables, and you're done). Now, unscrew the bolts that secure the locking mechanism and, again, disconnect the cables. Remove the screw cover on the side of the door (which can only be accessed by opening the door) and unscrew the underlying bolt. Another bolt in the same area is accessible by lifting the weatherstrip. Now you can remove the handle and proceed in reverse for the installation of the new one.
