To replace the exterior handle on a BMW 5 Series, open the door to access the side. Here, you will find a hole with a fastening screw inside.

This screw must be completely loosened so that the handle can be released. You can then disengage the handle from its housing and disconnect the connector on the inside.

This way, you can connect the new handle by inserting it into its slot and securing it with the side screw.
