Hello everyone! Today, I will show you how to fold the rear seat backs in a BMW 3 Series E46. This is a really simple operation, yet many people don’t know it because in this model, lowering the rear seat backs is done differently than usual. As clearly shown in the video, open the trunk and pull the two plastic mechanisms located on each side. Done! This way, you have released the rear seats and can lower the seat backs. As shown, the filter is positioned at the lower part of the engine, right between the left half-shaft and the sway bar attachment. To replace the filter, first, go underneath the vehicle, taking all necessary safety precautions. Then, using an 18mm wrench, open the drain valve and allow any water present to escape. Next, unscrew the housing, remove the old filter, insert the replacement along with a new gasket, and reassemble everything.
