How to Lower the Rear Seats of a BMW 3 Series

On some BMW 3 Series models, the mechanism to lower the rear seats is not located at the top of the seatback, but in the trunk. Open the rear hatch and look for two levers hidden at the top, one on each side.

Pull each lever outward: this will release the seatback. At this point, manually push the seats forward to fold them down.

If the front seats are too far back, move them slightly to create space. The cargo area will be significantly expanded, useful for transporting long items.

For reinstallation, lift the seatbacks and push them firmly until you hear the locking click. Ensure that the latches are securely engaged for safety.

If your car has a pass-through in the center armrest, you can use it for long items without folding down the seats.

How to Remove the Rear Seat of a Hyundai Tucson?

To remove the rear seat of a Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps. Start by moving the front seats to their most forward position to gain space. Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins. Once unlocked, tilt the seat upwards and forwards to remove it from its position. Repeat this process for both sides of the rear seat. Be careful of any electrical cables or components that may be connected to the seat during removal. Once the rear seat is removed, the disassembly is complete.
