Key battery replacement on BMW X3 e83

Model: BMW X3 MK 1, E83 - Years 2003-2010

Using a small flat screwdriver or plastic wedge, pry into the side slot of the key case. Already done! Once you have done this you will also have divided the housing of the key into two halves: inside one of them there will be the battery. Remove it from the key using the small flat screwdriver once again and replace it with a new and equivalent one you have purchased. Reassemble the casing by fitting the two parts together and that's it. Test the functioning of the key as a final check. As you can see, this is a very simple operation.
