Functions of the Red Alarm LED

The red LED under the rearview mirror indicates the presence of the alarm system and provides information about its status based on its flashing pattern. Press the lock button on the remote to activate the volumetric alarm and anti-lift feature, causing the LED to flash slowly. If you press the lock button again within 30 seconds of the first press, the anti-lift feature is deactivated (useful in case of towing on a flatbed or transport on a ship), and the LED flashes faster for a few seconds to indicate the command has been received. If the alarm is triggered, the siren sounds for 30 seconds, the 4 turn signals flash for 5 minutes, and the LED flashes rapidly until the alarm is deactivated with the remote.

How to Replace the Remote Battery for the Volvo XC40?
