BMW Serie 5 - Video tutorial
Model: BMW Serie 5
E39
- Years 1995-2003 If you own a BMW (both series 3 and series 5, any version) and suddenly, after closing it with the remote control, then inserting the serial alarm, it starts to sound for no apparent reason, one of the possible causes is the malfunction the front hood closing switch, which is located next to the driver's side cabin air filter container. Its malfunction is interpreted by the alarm control unit as an attempted break-in or, even if the bonnet is perfectly closed, the switch signals opening and for this reason the alarm sounds. Now there are two possible solutions: a very quick and economical one by unplugging the switch and the other that involves replacing the switch itself.
