To replace the key fob battery on a BMW X3, press the button located on the side to extract the key from the top. Once the key is removed, pry inside its housing to remove the front cover. The underlying battery can then be removed and replaced with a new replacement part. Once the new battery is inserted, position the front cover back and reinsert the key, ensuring that the device functions correctly.
