This guide shows how to replace the key fob battery for the BMW 2 Series F22. First, extract the physical key from the fob by pressing the release button on the back of the fob. Using a very small flathead screwdriver, pry open the retaining clip of the back cover of the fob. Remove the old battery and replace it with a new CR2045. Reattach the back cover and the emergency key. Check the proper functioning of the fob before hitting the road.
