This guide shows how to replace the rear license plate bulb on the BMW E93. The operation is very simple; you will need a new bulb and a flathead screwdriver. First, turn off the ignition and the car lights.

Lift the rear hatch slightly to get a good view of the bulbs. At this point, use the screwdriver to pry the retaining tab of the bulb lens to remove the housing.

Once the piece is out, apply slight pressure to remove the old bulb and install the new one. Following the reverse steps will allow you to reassemble the lamp housing. When the piece is in position, check the proper functioning of the part.
