The timing kit of a car consists of a belt and a tensioner roller. The timing belt must be replaced because its malfunction can cause serious engine damage. In the following guide, we will look at the tensioner rollers. Timing tensioner rollers can have various systems for adjusting tension. The tensioners can also be adjusted manually. Turn the adjustment bolt on one side counterclockwise until the accessory belt is loose enough to remove. Then tighten the tensioner pulley by turning it clockwise until the belt is tight.
