In this video tutorial, you will learn how to disassemble and replace the lock cylinder of the front door on a BMW 3 Series E46. First, open the front door and start by removing the rubber cover located on the side; then, unscrew the fastening screw found inside the hole to release and remove the lock cylinder from the outside, as shown in the video. At this point, you can also remove the door handle if necessary; then, simply reassemble everything by following the reverse procedure!
