Front Hood Release Cable Replacement

The front hood release cable runs from the release lever, located near the driver’s side kick panel, to the hood latch; this cable is divided into two parts. To replace it, first remove the driver’s side cabin air filter housing to access the grommet near the brake booster. Once the old cable is removed, insert the new one, attaching it first to the release lever and then routing it through the various housings until it reaches the latch, ensuring to properly secure the grommets and lubricate the cable sheath and the latch with spray grease.
