Jump Starting a Car Battery with Another Vehicle

Model: BMW Serie 5 E39 - Years 1995-2003
Part: Battery

This video shows you how to jump start your car using jumper cables. If your car's battery is completely dead and you can't get it to start, the quickest solution is to jump start it with another vehicle. Using the jumper cables as a bridge for electrical energy, you can provide the initial boost needed to start your car. To make the connections safely, the negative terminal, which is black, should be connected to a metal part of the body, while the red cable, the positive, should be connected to the terminal above the intake manifold.

Want to replace the gear knob and gaiter on an Opel Astra? Follow these steps: Use a plastic lever to detach the leather gaiter frame. Grip the knob and rotate it left and right until it comes off the gear stick (cut the plastic tie if present). For installation: Take the new knob and slide it onto the stick in the centre console, securing it in place; fit the new leather gaiter (plastic frame) using clips and all the trim plastics. Test the correct operation of the part.
