The audio and navigation system of the vehicle in question consists of numerous control units that communicate with each other, exchanging a lot of information. It may happen that the car radio does not turn on, suddenly turns off, or there is no tuning on various frequencies.

Before considering a real failure and thus the replacement/repair of some of these control units, check the power supply voltage of each one. These control units are located on the sides of the rear hood: once located, disconnect the power connector and check that there is voltage using a test light or a voltmeter.

How to open the bonnet on a Volkswagen Golf?
